Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 1, 2025

This Privacy Policy describes how WhatGPA ("we," "us," or "our"), operated at www.whatgpa.com, collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website. By using WhatGPA, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly: WhatGPA does not require account registration. Our GPA calculators run entirely in your browser — no grade data you enter is transmitted to or stored on our servers.

Information collected automatically: Like most websites, we collect certain information automatically when you visit, including browser type and version, operating system, anonymized IP address, pages visited and time spent, and the referring website or search query. This information is collected through analytics tools to help us improve our content.

2. Google AdSense

WhatGPA uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google AdSense uses cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our website and other websites. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at www.aboutads.info.

3. Analytics

We may use Google Analytics or similar services to collect anonymous information about website traffic and content performance. Analytics data is aggregated and does not personally identify you. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.

4. Cookies

WhatGPA uses cookies for the following purposes:

  • Advertising: Google AdSense uses cookies to deliver relevant ads, as described in Section 2.
  • Analytics: Analytics services use cookies to measure site usage, as described in Section 3.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect site functionality.

5. How We Use Information

  • Operate and improve our website and GPA calculator tools
  • Analyze site traffic and user behavior to improve content
  • Display relevant advertisements through Google AdSense
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell personal information to third parties or use it for direct marketing without your consent.

6. Third-Party Services

Our website may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Third-party services we use that may collect data independently include Google AdSense (advertising) and Google Analytics (analytics).

7. Children's Privacy

WhatGPA is designed for educational use and may be accessed by students of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Our calculators do not collect or transmit any data entered by users. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us at privacy@whatgpa.com and we will promptly delete it.

8. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational security measures. However, no method of internet transmission is 100% secure. Since our GPA calculators operate entirely client-side, your grade data is never transmitted to our servers, which minimizes privacy risk significantly.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

10. Contact Us

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, contact us at privacy@whatgpa.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
