The Final Grade Formula Explained
Your final course grade is a weighted combination of your existing grade and your final exam score.
Find out exactly what score you need on your final exam to reach your target course grade.
Formula: Required Final = (Target − Current × (1 − Final Weight)) ÷ Final Weight. Example — current grade 74%, final worth 30%, target 80%: (80 − 74 × 0.70) ÷ 0.30 = (80 − 51.8) ÷ 0.30 = 94% needed on the final.
Your final course grade is a weighted combination of your existing grade and your final exam score.
